A Safe Space for Young Women:

Join Our NEW ‘Younger Futures’ Peer Group This September

At My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre, we know that early support can make all the difference in a young woman’s life. That’s why we’re proud to offer Younger Futures, a six-week peer support programme designed especially for young women aged 15 to 19 in the Arun and Chichester Districts who have experienced – or are at risk of experiencing – domestic abuse.

Empowering Young Women, Together

Domestic abuse can affect anyone, at any age. But for young women, the impact can be especially confusing, isolating, and long-lasting. Younger Futures creates a safe, supportive space where young women can come together, share their stories, and begin to understand what healthy, respectful relationships really look like.

Whether you've experienced unhealthy or harmful relationships first-hand, or you're unsure about what’s ‘normal’ when it comes to dating and friendships, this group is a place where your voice will be heard, your experiences will be respected, and your future will be taken seriously.

What to Expect from the Course

Starting Monday 1st September 2025, the group will meet weekly from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, in a confidential and welcoming face-to-face setting.

Each week, we'll explore a new theme through:

  • Education and discussion

  • Peer-to-peer conversations

  • Interactive activities

  • Videos and real-world scenarios

You’ll also learn about the different forms domestic abuse can take, and how to recognise early warning signs – not just for yourself, but for others, too.

Many of the young women who take part in this course stay in touch with each other afterwards, continuing to support and uplift one another beyond the programme.

What Will I Learn?

By the end of the six weeks, you’ll have:

  • A clearer understanding of what healthy relationships look and feel like

  • The tools to recognise power, control, and coercion

  • Greater self-confidence and self-esteem

  • A better understanding of consent

  • Knowledge of where to turn for help, support, and advice

Most importantly, you’ll know you’re not alone – and you’ll have a group of peers and professionals who are here for you.
