My Sisters’ House Joins Women’s Aid

We’re excited to share that as of June 2025, My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre is officially a full member of Women’s Aid. This is an important moment for us – one that marks another step forward in our journey to support women and children affected by domestic abuse in the Chichester and Arun districts.

Who is Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national federation working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Their values — Feminist, Survivor-Centred, Inclusive, Empowering, and Resilient — are values we live by every day at My Sisters’ House. So, becoming a member felt like a natural next step.

What Does This Mean for Us?

Being part of Women’s Aid connects us to a network of like-minded organisations all working together to support women and children. It means we:

  • Continue delivering services led by women, for women

  • Work closely with other specialist women’s organisations

  • Ensure our leadership and support teams are women

  • Provide a safe, female-only space for survivors

This membership won’t change the work we do — it will strengthen it. We now have access to more resources, training, and national support, all of which help us give even better care to the women we support.

Why It Matters

As part of joining, we signed up to Women’s Aid’s Terms of Reference – a pledge to keep feminist values at the heart of our work and to promote collaboration and solidarity across the sector.

You’ll now see the Women’s Aid logo on our emails and communications. It’s more than just a logo – it’s a sign that we’re part of a trusted, survivor-led movement. And for the women we support, we hope it’s a clear message: you are not alone, and you matter.

We’re proud to be part of the Women’s Aid family and excited about what this partnership will mean for our future.
